Welcome to the newest addition to your medical home at Oroville Hospital!

The five-story tower expansion increases the hospital’s capacity and medical resources available to Oroville and the surrounding foothill and valley communities. The expansion features modern amenities, top-of-the-line innovative technology and a welcoming care environment for staff and patients. It doubled the hospital's square footage, adding 158,596 square feet and increasing the number of beds from 153 to 211.

We value our patient and healthcare team’s feedback, which is why the expansion was designed with collaborative input so that it can be a positive experience for all. Patient rooms contain large windows that overlook the beautiful scenic views of the foothills and valleys. The interior color palette reflects the miles of shoreline that serve as a valuable resource to our town. The meaningful colors of water create a calming space that inspires and promotes well-being for our community.

Patients and staff can find comfort in knowing that we take safety very seriously, and it is our priority to keep you safe and healthy. Top-of-the-line safety features are throughout the new tower, ensuring that you feel comfortable. Thoughtful placement of both de-centralized and centralized nurse stations are placed on each floor, improving patient monitoring and enhancing patient privacy. There are multiple designated conversation rooms that offer privacy for provider-patient, family discussions. As a hospital that serves a large regional area, Oroville Hospital provides quality healthcare to many each year, and this expansion will help ensure it exceeds the needs of patients.

Floor 1

Upon entering the tower, you will be greeted by a bright and welcoming lobby, where patients and families check in. The first floor includes an ambulatory care unit, equipped with procedure rooms and preoperative and recovery bays. The first and second floors connect to what was the existing hospital’s footprint through large pedestrian walkways.

Floor 2

This floor is home to our exquisite labor and delivery center. Nine private and spacious rooms serve as labor and delivery, postpartum and recovery rooms. With large soaker style bathtubs, mothers can find comfort during their stay. In addition, parents can enjoy the beautiful outdoor garden that provides a soothing and relaxing environment.

Floor 3

Patients will receive highly intricate and specialized care in the new Intensive Care Unit on floor three. The expansion has added additional intensive care rooms, bringing the hospital’s total room count to 24, allowing space for patients that need the highest level of care.

Floor 4 & 5

These two floors are Medical-Surgical units. With a total of 35 private rooms, patients will have the ability to recuperate and heal quickly. It will work in tandem with the hospital’s new Trauma Team that will take form when the hospital receives their new designation as a Trauma 2 Medical Center. By having this new designation, Oroville Hospital will now be able to provide an elevated amount of emergency services, including cardiothoracic surgery and neurosurgery, reducing a patient’s need to travel to receive appropriate care.

An updated campus map is coming soon.
