Oroville Hospital just added a new pulmonologist, Sidharth Bagga, MD. Dr. Bagga is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Board Eligible in Critical Care. He will be joining Matthew Fine, MD and seeing patients in the Oroville Internal Medicine and Pulmonary office at 2809 Olive Highway in Suite 350. He will also be providing inpatient care in the Intensive Care Unit.
Dr. Bagga was born and raised in New Delhi, India. When he was thirteen he moved with his family to the United States and settled in Philadelphia. Dr. Bagga received his MBA from Rutgers University in New Jersey and his medical degree from Saba University in Dutch Caribbean. He went on to receive his residency from Copper Medical Center in New Jersey and Fellowship from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
After taking a temporary position, Dr. Bagga wanted to work for Oroville Hospital fulltime. He fell in love with the community and the supportive staff and knew he could make a difference here. Some of the areas he will be treating are diabetes, hypertension, lung cancer, COPD, pneumonia, and smoking cessation.
“We are happy to be bringing Dr. Bagga onboard to help serve our community. There is definitely a need for pulmonary care here and Dr. Bagga is going to be a great asset to the team,” says Dr. Fine.
Dr. Bagga will also be performing advanced bronchoscopic procedures. This is a minimally invasive procedure that is performed to evaluate chest nodules and diagnose cancer. The procedure is preformed through the nose and leaves no scarring.
