Tru-D SmartUVC
Keeping patients safe with advanced germ-killing technology.
Oroville Hospital has added the Tru-D SmartUVC system, a germ-eliminating UV disinfection robot, to its already stringent disinfection protocols as a further safeguard against serious and deadly acquired infections. After a hospital staff member cleans a vacant room using traditional disinfection methods, Tru-D is rolled in to enhance the cleaning process. The systems will be used primarily to ensure that we rid isolation rooms, ICUs, operating and ambulatory care suites of harmful pathogens.
Protects Patients:
- Kills pathogens such as influenza, norovirus, C. diff, MRSA and bacteria that can lead to acquired infections.
- Uses safe, effective, measured UV light to clean rooms from top to bottom so that germs have nowhere to hide.
- Remotely-operated and self-adjusts itself according to the size and contents of each room to deliver the precise dose of ultraviolet light energy needed for complete disinfection.
By integrating Tru-D technology with current cleaning protocols, Oroville Hospital is providing an extra level of care and taking a proactive step in ensuring patients and staff have a clean and germ-free environment in which to heal. Tru-D promotes the highest standard of safety and will be a powerful ally in infection prevention. The addition of this advanced technology is part of the hospital’s commitment to providing the best care and health services to members of a growing community.
