Oroville Hospital Post Acute Center (OHPAC) is proud to offer a nursing assistant program for individuals who want to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and start a career in healthcare. The eight-week earn as you learn training program offers students paid education and training to become a CNA. Upon successful completion of the program and certification exam, CNAs are asked to make a one-year commitment to work in a CNA position provided to them. This program includes the classroom theory and hands-on clinical experience required by the state of California. By the end of the course, students are prepared to pass the state-approved written and skills exam to become certified.
Oroville Hospital is looking for applicants with a strong desire to help those in need and the ability to work well in a demanding, fast-paced environment. CNAs are expected to understand, plan and carry out the resident’s care plan and communicate well with residents, family and co-workers to meet the resident’s needs. Prospective applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
