Ready to shape the future of mental health care in our community? We're now accepting applications for PGY-1 positions through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Key Dates & Requirements

  • ERAS submission deadline: December 1, 2024
    • Due to the large number of applications we receive, we cannot guarantee a review for applications received after this date.
  • Letters of recommendation: 3 required
    • At least one letter must be from a psychiatrist familiar with your work.
    • We also value a letter from a primary care professional (internal medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, or OB/GYN).
  • Eligibility
    • Completion of medical school from an accredited institution.
    • Passing scores on USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK.
    • A personal statement that reflects your interest in Psychiatry and your career goals.
    • Relevant clinical experience in Psychiatry.

Visa Sponsorship Notice

At this time, we regret to inform applicants that we are unable to offer J-1 or H-1B visa sponsorships for our Psychiatry Residency Program. We understand the importance of visa sponsorship for many international medical graduates and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Our Holistic Review Process

Interview Schedule

Our interview season will be conducted from October through January. During this period, we will be hosting virtual interviews for the first round to ensure a safe and convenient process for all candidates. Follow-up interviews may be conducted in-person, depending on the circumstances and preferences of the candidates.

Interview Dates:

  • Interviews will be scheduled on select weekdays between October and January.
  • Specific dates and times will be provided upon invitation.

Interview Format:

  • Each interview session will consist of a series of individual interviews with our faculty members, program director, and both institutional and program leadership.
  • Candidates will have the opportunity to learn more about our program, ask questions, and discuss their interests and goals.

Preparation:

  • Invitations for interviews will be sent via email with detailed instructions on how to prepare and what to expect.
  • We encourage candidates to review our program’s website and familiarize themselves with our mission, values, and training opportunities.
