Intensive Care Unit
Patients in Critical Condition Receive High-Quality, Constant Care at Oroville
Critically ill patients suffering from illnesses such as acute heart attack, stroke, respiratory distress, traumatic injuries, and other life-threatening disorders are treated in our fully-equipped 10-bed Intensive Care Unit at Oroville Hospital. Board certified Internal Medicine physicians and Cardiologists use a multidisciplinary approach to patient care supported by an experienced staff of Registered Nurses. This team approach allows each member to provide input, suggest care solutions, and fully participate in each patient’s plan of care toward swift and full recovery.
One of the most important parts of the care of ICU patients is constant, transparent monitoring and care between the entire medical team working with each patient. Our ICU nurses pay particular attention to coordination of care so that treatment of our sickest patients by doctors, nurses, therapists and allied health professionals is consistent and well-orchestrated. Respect for the dignity and wishes of seriously ill patients and their families is a cornerstone of care in our Intensive Care Unit.
Our Intensive Care Unit at Oroville Hospital facilitates an effective healing environment for gravely ill patients. For more information about Intensive Care services at Oroville Hospital, call 530-532-8490.
