Jennifer White has been a Speech Language Pathologist since 2012 and has been the Speech Therapy Department Supervisor at Oroville Hospital since 2019. She completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Communicate Sciences and Disorders at Chico State University. Other specialized training she has include: Head & Neck Cancer Lymphedema Certified specialist, dysphagia Modified Barium Swallow Impairment Profile (MBSImP) administrator certification, Certified Dementia Care Specialist, and Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallow (FEES) certified technician. While Jennifer primarily provides speech therapy in the outpatient setting, she also has experience in the home health and acute care settings. She treats and helps patients manage symptoms of head & neck cancer, traumatic brain injury, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, dementia, and aphasia.
Recognizing that each patient is unique and at different phases of rehabilitation, Jennifer approaches the treatment of patients by making every evaluation and therapy session personalized to their individual interests, needs, ability, and current situation. Finding the connection that translates to meaningful, functional improvement in the daily life of each patient keeps Jennifer excited about her work.
When not at work, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. She also enjoys watching baseball, whether it be the Angels, Padres or her son.
