Position: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician (multiple openings)

Job Location: Oroville Hospital, 2767 Olive Highway, Oroville, CA 95966

The Cardiac Cath Lab Technician will be responsible for the following job duties:

  • Monitor gauges, recorder, and video screens during imaging of patients’ cardiovascular system.
  • Conduct cardiovascular tests to record patients’ cardiac activity using specialized electronic equipment, recording devices, and laboratory instruments.
  • Prepare reports of diagnostic procedures for interpretation by physician.
  • Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with Oroville Hospital policies and procedures.
  • Maintain integrity of medical records and documents in real time.
  • Ensure patient billing is accurate and timely by reviewing all procedures, documenting patient equipment charges, and verifying CPT and ICD 10 codes are correct.
  • Assist in the development and revision of policies and procedures related to Cardiac Cath Lab to ensure continuous process improvement.
  • Assist in training and orientation of new employees on equipment, tools, and procedures.
  • Assure calibration and function of laboratory equipment including monitoring equipment.
     

This position requires a U.S. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biology, Chemistry, or related field and two (2) years of experience as a Cardiovascular Tech, Cath Lab Tech, or closely related occupation.  

Must have an active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification. Must have an active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential.

Must have professional experience with:

  1. Conducting cardiovascular tests;
  2. Cardiac recording devices;
  3. Securely maintaining medical records;
  4. Verifying CPT and ICP 10 codes;
  5. Calibrating cardiac monitoring equipment; and
  6. Ensuring proper function of cardiac monitoring equipment.

Salary: $134,742.40$ - $140,000 per year.
