Responsibilities:

Job Summary

The Employee Health Medical Assistant has the responsibility of assisting with the multiple facets of the Employee Health program. The Employee Health Medical Assistant acts as a liaison for all team members, collecting and correlating employee needs, reporting to Human Resources regarding employee new hire issues and employee clearances to work.

Duties

  1. Coordinate immunization and tuberculosis screening needs of the Oroville Hospital employees, volunteers and contractors.
  2. Coordinate new hire physical screening with midlevel providers
  3. Ongoing review and update of the employee health records
  4. Assist employees with obtaining copies of their medical records
  5. Administer HBV vaccine program
  6. Administer immunization vaccine program
  7. Administer annual influenza vaccine program
  8. Maintain department medical records
  9. Maintain all levels of confidentiality within the department
  10. Performs all duties as assigned

 

  1. Clerical Duties
  • Answers telephone calls, identifying self and department
  • Receives and documents telephone messages and gives to the appropriate persons
  • Utilizes photocopy and facsimile machine

Other Info:

Lifting Requirements: The light category requires that an employee be able to lift a maximum of 20 pounds and frequently lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
