Start Date: 

Open Until Filled. This is a part time position requiring  64-71 hours worked in a two-week pay period.

Qualifications: 

• Work Experience is desired but not required
• High School Graduate or equivalent preferred
• Must have good communication skills

Job Summary

The Dietary Helper performs a variety of kitchen duties as assigned.  Assigned areas may be in patient food service, cafeteria food service or in dishwashing.

Duties

• Assembles prepared foods for regular or modified diet trays
• Delivers trays to serving area or Nursing Stations
• Prepares simple salads or desserts
• Prepares between-meal nourishment for patients
• Works on trayline to assist in patient tray set-up
• Operates a dishwasher
• Performs general cleaning duties in the Dietary Department
• Will perform other duties as assigned

Other Info: 

Lifting Requirements: Medium – Generally lifting not more than 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.

Standing requirements are from 7 to 8 hours per day.  Walking and standing are required to a significant degree.
