- High School Diploma of Graduation
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification or American Red Cross Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic technology training in an AMA-approved school and ability to meet requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- C.T Tech Certification preferred

Job Summary
The Computed Tomography (C.T.) Technologist is a highly skilled professional who uses specialized computerized x-ray equipment to produce cross sectional images of the human anatomy which aid radiologists in diagnosing a wide variety of diseases and disorders.
Duties
- Operate head or body x-ray scanners which create a computer generated cross-sectional image, commonly called a CAT (Computed Axial Tomography) Scan
- Responsible for educating and preparing patients for their examinations
- Provide patient care that is essential to the performance of a variety of procedures
- Take patient medical history before an exam
- Position patients so desired anatomy will be demonstrated
- Determine and set appropriate technical parameters to accurately demonstrate anatomy and pathology
- Assume responsibility for the safety, mental and physical comfort of patients
- Supervised by a board certified radiologist but afforded a great amount of independence and responsibility
- Performs other duties as assigned

Lifting Requirements: Heavy lifting: up to 100 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Must be able to stand, stoop and lift and walk without restrictions.
