- Current American Heart Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- At least five years experience in imaging department
- At least two years previous supervisory experience

Job Summary
The Director of Imaging will plan, organize, lead and direct the radiology department across all sites. The Director is responsible for supervising all daily technical and administrative activities of the radiology department and equipment ordering and maintenance.
Duties
- Provide leadership, supervision and support to technical and support staff
- Develop and maintain good collaborative working relationships and channels of communication with members of the nursing and care staff teams including all ancillary departments
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to guide and support the Radiology Department, collaborating with other departments, and ensuring that the department goals and objectives are consistent with the hospitals mission and vision
- Maintains Radiologic services in accordance with standards established by the hospital and within state, local and federal standards/guidelines
- Is responsible for the technical aspect of Radiologic safety, recommending programming, monitoring and location of warning or identifying devices in carrying out recommendations of the radiation safety officer
- Recommends equipment modification, new equipment and essential constructions within the department
- Is responsible for existing equipment and contractual services related to equipment
- Prepares the budget for the Radiology Department
- Make recommendations regarding space and other resources required by the Radiology Department, including off-site sources for services not provided by the department
- Coordinate departmental purchasing and is responsible for stock level, storage and utilization
- Administers preparation of reports, documents, payroll records, statistical surveys and other data required
- Selects employees who meet all educational; training, licensure and experience requirements for open positions
- Makes work assignments and coordinates request for Radiologic services
- Evaluates accuracy and technical quality of x-rays
- Demonstrates and explains difficult or new techniques and procedures to the technical staff
- Delegates responsibility to designated staff
- Assists Radiologist with difficult Radiologic procedures and performs general technical duties when workload is heavy
- Stays current on knowledge regarding protective equipment, imaging and computer software related to imaging services
- Maintains quality control programs that assess the quality of care/service provided, effecting change for improvement as indicated
- Performs other duties as assigned

Functional Demands:
Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Regularly exposed to the risks of blood borne and airborne diseases. Contact with patients in a wide variety of circumstances. Exposed to noise, chemicals, communicable diseases, and hazardous materials. Wears personal protective equipment as required.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, use hands to handle or feel objects, or controls; each with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand for extended periods, occasionally required to sit, balance; stoop, kneel or crouch.
The employee must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with help.
