Deepak Khanna, M.D., F.A.C.C., Director of Cardiology at Oroville Hospital focuses on preventive cardiac care for patients. As a huge proponent of heart health, Dr. Khanna recognizes that a healthy diet and regular exercise regimen along with blood pressure and lipid management can reduce the risk of heart disease greatly and lower the number of deaths related to the disease.
Dr. Khanna received a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences from the University of California, Davis and studied medicine at St. Georges University. It was here that he became fascinated with the intricacies of the heart and the many different roles it plays to keep the body functioning.
After receiving his medical degree Dr. Khanna practiced at various medical centers in New York and California. He also completed fellowships in echocardiography, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology. At Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York, he conducted cardiac catheterization procedures in one of the nation’s most advanced interventional radiology labs known for its complex cases.
Dr. Khanna has been practicing at Oroville Hospital since 2010. He enjoys collaborating with fellow physicians and staff members who are focused on improving cardiovascular health in the community. In his free time Dr. Khanna enjoys exercising, playing tennis, traveling and spending time with his family.
