Matthew Fine MD has been a physician since 1972 and began working at Oroville Hospital in 1978. He is a consulting pulmonologist, Medical Director of the Cardio/Pulmonary Department, and since 2005 he has been the Chief Medical Officer and Director of Patient Safety at Oroville Hospital. Dr. Fine loves his job and enjoys finding solutions to make overall patient care better.
He chose to become a physician because he wanted to make a difference in people’s lives. He saw a need to help patients with lung disease and has always found pulmonary medicine interesting and challenging. When Dr. Fine is not busy working at Oroville Hospital, he enjoys reading, hiking, exercising, and taking weekend trips with his wife. He also looks forward to visiting his granddaughters in Cleveland, Ohio as often as possible.
